Fundraiser Update Letter

Dear Paulina Elementary School Families,

At Paulina Elementary School, we continuously evaluate our programs and activities to ensure they align with our commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for our students. After thoughtful discussion with staff and administration, including a review of the funds generated, expenditures, and overall impact of the event, we have made the decision not to continue holding the Pelican Royal Revue Fundraiser.

This decision was made after careful consideration of several factors, including the amount of instructional time required for preparation, the additional responsibilities placed on our activity teachers and school staff, and the overall return on investment for the school. As a school team, we believe it is important to prioritize opportunities that maximize student learning while also supporting our school's fundraising goals.

Looking ahead, we are excited to explore a spring fundraising event that will coincide with Student Appreciation Week. We believe this approach will create a meaningful experience for students and families while minimizing disruptions to instructional time.

Funds raised through school-sponsored fundraisers will continue to be used to support school improvement projects that enhance our campus, including improvements to our building and student play areas. In addition, fundraising dollars directly support student achievement by ensuring classrooms have the supplemental instructional materials, resources, and supplies needed to promote continued academic success. These funds allow us to invest in learning opportunities and tools that positively impact the educational experience of all students.

During the upcoming school year, we are excited to expand opportunities for family engagement by offering additional after-school events and activities. These opportunities will strengthen the partnership between home and school, provide meaningful experiences for families, and support student success both inside and outside of the classroom.

We want to reassure families that students participating in our Magnet Program will continue to have opportunities to engage in performing arts experiences as outlined in the District’s Program Handbook to fulfill the expectations for the program. We remain committed to providing students with enriching experiences that support their academic, artistic, and personal growth.

Thank you for your continued support of Paulina Elementary School. We appreciate our partnership with families and look forward to working together to provide the best possible opportunities for our students.

Sincerely,

Nicole Weber
