It is with great excitement and gratitude that I will have the privilege to serve as the Principal of Paulina Elementary School.  For the past 23 years, I have had the privilege of serving students, families, and educators, and I am honored to continue that journey with the Paulina Elementary family. As I embark on this new chapter of my career, my dedication to students remains strong.  I am deeply committed to giving back by helping ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels safe, supported, loved, and empowered to succeed.

My husband and I have called Paulina home for the past 24 years, where we have raised our three sons. My oldest proudly serves in the United States Air Force.  Our middle son attends college and the youngest is currently a junior at Lutcher High School.  

At Paulina Elementary we believe that every student deserves the very best each day—academically, socially, and emotionally. Student success is at the heart of every decision I make. Our students thrive when they are surrounded by caring adults who work together.  Our positive school culture will be one where everyone feels valued, respected, and inspired to do their best.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to make Paulina Elementary a place where students flourish, families feel connected, and staff members are empowered to make a difference. Together, we will celebrate achievements, overcome challenges, and help our students soar to new heights.

I am proud to serve as an Assistant Principal at Paulina Elementary School, a place I truly call home. With over 23 years of experience in St. James Parish Schools, I was grateful for the opportunity to return to Paulina Elementary and continue supporting our students, staff, and families. I am committed to working alongside the PES administrative team to ensure that every system, decision, and action is aligned to student learning and the growth of our entire school community.

My husband and I have lived in Paulina for 22 years, where we raised our two children, both graduates of St. James Parish Schools. They are now continuing their education in college—our son at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and our daughter at Louisiana State University.

I am proud to give back to the school and community that shaped my family by helping ensure every PES student is supported, challenged, and successful.

My name is Jennifer Carter, and I am thrilled to welcome you to the upcoming school year. Over my 25-year career in education, I have spent the last decade serving as a school leader. I am deeply passionate about supporting students and helping them reach their full potential. Outside of school, family is my greatest priority. I have been happily married for 23 years, and we are the proud parents of two sons.
